LCA Uniform Policy

Uniforms are mandatory for all K-7 elementary students.  School uniforms must be purchased from Parker School Uniforms or Lands’ End.   The flyer and catalog may be picked up in the LCA office. From Lands’ End the only uniform clothing that can be purchased for boys and girls are the Chino pants.  Non-uniform items may also be purchased through Lands’ End.

Elementary students are required to wear the Official LCA School Uniform daily.  Monday through Thursday, light blue shirts or red pique knit shirts are worn with the uniform.  Friday is designated LCA t-shirt day.  The student may wear the LCA uniform pants or shorts with the LCA t-shirt. Preschool 4/K-4 and elementary students are required to wear the LCA crested t-shirt or sweatshirt for all field trips.

LCA Polarfleece monogram jacket, Cardigan navy blue sweater, and LCA monogram sweatshirt may be worn in the classroom.  These items can be purchased at Parker.  Past purchased LCA Polarfleece monogram vest may also be worn in the classroom.   Other jackets, sweatshirts, and ponchos may be worn only at recess, and before and after school.

Shoes must fully enclose the students’ feet including the heel.  Sandals or boots are not permitted.  Shoes must be 90% black, tan/brown, red, navy blue, or white.  Athletic shoes with reinforced toes are preferred and required to be worn on P.E. days.  Fifth through seventh graders must wear navy blue uniform gym shorts and t-shirts during P.E.  Socks must be solid white, blue, or red in color and worn at all times. Tights must be solid white or navy blue.  Navy blue uniform leggings may be worn under skirts.

Student’s hair should be kept neat.  Boy’s hair must be collar length and at the ears.  Hair color must be natural.  Boys cannot wear earrings.  No make-up for girls.

Parents will be notified in writing if their student is out of uniform. On the third notification, parents will be contacted to pick up their child from school and asked to return with appropriate uniform attire.

Girls:
Girls may choose from a combination of jumper, shorts, culottes, skirt, and pants.  The jumper, shorts, and culotte-split skirt are blue/green/red plaid.  The culotte-wrap, skirt, and pants are solid navy.  Only kindergarten students may wear the elastic pull-on navy pants from Parker.  Pleated or Plain-front navy Chinos may be purchased through Lands’ End.  Shirts include the light blue button down oxford, light blue Peter Pan collar, light blue LCA monogrammed pique knit shirt, or red LCA monogrammed pique knit, all in long or short sleeve.  Shirt tails must be tucked in at all times. All uniform pieces must be purchased from Parker Uniform or a choice in pants from Lands’ End.

Boys:
Shorts and pants are solid navy. Only kindergarten students may wear the elastic pull-on navy pants from Parker.  Pleated, Plain-front, or Reinforced-knee pleated navy Chinos may be purchased through Lands’ End.  Shirts include the light blue button down oxford, light blue LCA monogrammed pique knit, or red LCA monogrammed pique knit, all in long or short sleeve.  Shirt tails must be tucked in at all times. All uniform pieces must be purchased from Parker Uniform or a choice in pants from Lands’ End.

The administration retains the right to amend this policy.  Students will be given prompt notification if changes are made.  In all cases, the interpretation of the policy remains with the administration.
